It's that time of year again. TOMORROW NIGHT! It's a celebration of all things The Band. Johnny Vegas hosts this long running carnie sideshow of misfits. Always a good time. If you have never been to South Broadway Athletic Club it is worth checking out too. 7 pm. Here is more info:
Come join Saint Louis' original Last Waltz rip-off show!
For our 15th time in 14 years, The Stag Nite All-Stars will be celebrating the music of The Band and their all-star farewell show that occurred on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976 at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom. You probably have seen that kick-ass movie that Martin Scorsese and cocaine made of the concert.
We play all the Last Waltz songs and any other tunes The Band had their fingers in, including Dylan stuff.
Dress fancy please. ???
2019 Line-up of the Stag Nite All-Stars includes:
The Red-Headed Strangers
Old Souls Revival
Sadie Hawkins Day
The Maness Brothers
Nick Gusman and The Coyotes
with Special Guests
The King of France, john joern
The Funky Butt Brass Band Horns
Reverend Whiskey Richard
and the usual gang of idiots.
Probably a few more we haven't nailed down yet and several special guests we haven't figured out.
Featuring an opening set of all Dylan tunes by Cree Rider and Friends
Come early. Lots of folks miss out on the opening cuz they are getting high in the parking lot and miss the killer songs that start the show. Songs like "Up on Cripple Creek" and other nuggets. Don't give us any shit if you do miss "The Shape I'm In". We mix up the songs a bit and play a bunch of other The Band tunes and some of the Dylan stuff they played on.
Lots of parking across Broadway, cross where you are supposed to cross please. There will be security assisting with that.
Hope to see you.
